Choosing a home builder is the biggest purchasing decision most Minnesotans ever make. Until now, the research tools were national directories with padded lists, builder marketing sites, and word of mouth. HomeBuildersMN exists to be the missing piece: an independent, Minnesota-native directory of the Twin Cities' builders and remodelers, built on structured data instead of ad copy.

What We Do

• Map the market. Every builder is catalogued by the specific cities they serve, their specialties, price tier, and verified awards, so a search for "luxury builders in Edina" returns firms that actually build luxury homes in Edina.
• Verify what can be verified. Minnesota license numbers checked against the Department of Labor & Industry, awards confirmed with the granting organizations, ratings pulled from the source and linked — never estimated. Our full methodology and disclosures are public.
• Match homeowners free. Our matching service shortlists up to three builders that fit your city, project type, budget, and timeline. Free to homeowners, always.
• Explain the process. The glossary and cost guides cover what building here actually involves (frost depths, energy code, contracts, budgets) in plain English.

Independence

We're not owned by a builder, a franchise, or a lead-gen conglomerate. Builders can't pay to join the directory or to change what we write about them; how we make money (labeled featured placement and lead referrals) is disclosed in full on the methodology page.
