Community Support

A housing marketplace should give back to housing. These Twin Cities organizations do essential work across homeownership, repair, and shelter. If you're in a position to give or volunteer, they put it to good use:

  • Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity — affordable homeownership, builds and repairs across the metro.
  • Rebuilding Together Twin Cities — free critical home repairs for neighbors who can't afford them, powered heavily by building-trades volunteers.
  • Housing First Minnesota Foundation — the industry's charitable arm; builds housing for veterans and others in need through donated builder labor.
  • Minnesota Homeownership Center — free, non-profit homebuyer education and foreclosure-prevention counseling statewide.

Many of the builders in our directory donate labor and materials to these organizations through Housing First Minnesota Foundation projects, the kind of community track record worth asking about when you interview builders.

We are not affiliated with these organizations; we just think they're worth your attention.
