Pratt Homes is a multi-generational family builder in Vadnais Heights, founded in 1973 by brothers Len and Lowell Pratt, building custom, semi-custom, and villa homes and taking on remodeling work. It holds Minnesota builder license BC000001 — the state's first, issued in 1992 after Lowell Pratt worked with the Department of Commerce on builder standards. Across five decades the firm says it has built more than 1,000 homes, and it marked 50 years in business in 2023.
Its leadership has shaped the trade associations as well as the market: Len Pratt was BATC president in 1983–1985, Art Pratt is Housing First Minnesota board chair for 2024–2025 and was the Builders Association of Minnesota's 2024 president, and both Len and Lowell are Builders Association of Minnesota Hall of Fame members, inducted in 2000 and 1996. BATC named the firm Builder of the Year in 1991 and 2007, and Housing First Minnesota gave Lowell and Len lifetime achievement awards in 2013 and 2017.
Current communities are the villa neighborhoods BayHaven at Bayport, Villas at Spring Farm in North Oaks, and Villas at Twenty-One Oaks in Woodbury, plus single-family building at Laurel Ridge in Scandia and Fable Hill in Hugo. Its two 2026 Spring Parade of Homes models are listed at $995,000 and $1,195,000.
