Swanson Homes is a family-run luxury custom builder in Medina — owner Curt Swanson with VP Blake Swanson and creative director Lindsey Swanson — deliberately building just 8 to 10 homes a year plus one or two remodels, in Orono, Wayzata, Medina, Minnetonka, Plymouth, and Independence. The firm says it has been building in Minnesota for over fifty years.
It develops its own luxury neighborhoods: Elevare in Minnetonka and Deer Hill Preserve in Medina with packages from the $4 millions, BridgeVine in Independence and The Ridge at Elm Creek from $2.5 million, and Hollydale in Plymouth from $2.2 million. Completed homes currently list between $2.49 and $5.35 million.
Housing First Minnesota gave owner Curt Swanson its Robert L. Hanson Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, and the firm took a Spring 2020 Reggie in the $1.5–$2 million category for a Modern European Rambler in Orono. Houzz has recognized it in 2018, 2019, and 2023, and the firm has built and donated a playhouse benefiting the Housing First Minnesota Foundation.
