White Birch Design is a Lakeville design-build remodeler founded in 2018 by co-owners Steve McDonald and Angela Barnhart, a Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler, working on kitchen, bath, lower-level, and main-floor remodels in the south metro with a seven-person team.
Housing First Minnesota gave the firm a Remodeler of Merit Award in 2020 for a South Minneapolis kitchen. NARI-MN followed with a Silver Remodeler of the Year for commercial projects in 2024 and three RotY awards in 2025 — two kitchen remodels and a basement — alongside a regional NARI kitchen award the same year.
It is a NARI of Minnesota member and has shown in the Remodelers Showcase in 2020, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
